Ysabelle Vautour

2024 Winner

“We are happy to have support to try this out. There isn’t anyone we know in NB doing this right now, so it’s all new ground, and that’s very exciting and a little scary. It’s a relief to get this as we don’t have enough experience to apply to Canada Council in this area.”

Ysabelle Vautour is a visually impaired visual artist and the founder of the NB Disability Art Collective. She serves on the board of artsnb and stars in the AMI television documentary 100% Passion. Ysabelle is an alumna of Festival Inspire’s Muralist Training Program, Sync Leadership, and the Catapult Art Accelerator. She has served as the Artist in Residence at the Fredericton Arts Alliance Fredericton Botanical Gardens, Connexion Artist Run Centre, and the Hammock Residency in Vancouver. Ysabelle is a recipient of the 2022 JL Visual Art Award and, most recently, has been an arts mentor for the JL Legacy Fund Mentorship Engagement Program.
